Library Work


 
 
 
First book: I got this book “Horse Thief” from my classmate Abdulmohsen Alkahtani (http://abdulmohsenken191f12s28.blogspot.com/ ) . The book is about a seventeen boy called Tullis Yoder who by losing two fingers in his first bull ride thought he will never have a chance to top another bull. His thirteen horses were about to be slaughtered for dog food; he steal his rodeo horses. “No malice. Only merriment as they nipped and nuzzled one another” (on page 15).
The author Peck, Robert Newton is an author of more than sixty books. Raised on a farm, he is familiar with cattle, hogs, and horses.
Second book: My classmate Bingxhe Xu (http://en191f12s28bingzhe.blogspot.com/ )  had that book “The Rise of Modern China” which is about how Chinese history have been a turbulent era in which domestic and foreign forces interacted to transform the Confucian universal empire into a modern national state. “While no consensus has been reached, there seems to be some tentative agreement among a majority of them on the question of periodization”(on page 15).
The author Immanuel C. Y. HSU is deeply grateful to many of his former professors at Harvard who taught him the historical discipline.
Third book: Ouedraogo Jonathan, T ( http://en191f12s28jonaou.blogspot.com/ ) gave me that book “How to talk Minnesotan” which actually is really interesting for people from other country; it gave us an overview of how people talk here with their culture. On page 15, they showed us how barbecue is prepared ”Many cooks substitute pickled herring for the hamburger and use cream of mushroom soup instead of Cheese Whiz as a topping”.
The author Howard Mohr had the idea to write this book for people who will visit this state, so that they don’t feel strange.
Fourth book: The book which Hassan Rabaan (http://en191f12s28rabaan.blogspot.com/ )  gave me is “Greek & Roman Mythology A to Z”. It is about The Mythology from that time when Greek & Roman existed by how the world was formed? Such as mountains, weather etc. On page 15, they talk about the name of the Argonauts:”Names of the Argonauts Many different names have been included in the muster roll of the Argo, the ship sailed by Jason in his quest for the Golden Fleece”.
The author Kathleen N. Daly is a writer and consulting editor who has written more than 100 books for young readers. She holds an M.A. from the University of Glasgow.
 Fifth book: “The development of Nigerian foreign Policy” is the book that Shonibare, Abigeal M ( http://shonibaremas19902802.blogspot.com/ ) gave me which is about how Nigerian does not have a foreign policy years’ back ago. “But it would be wrong to assume that Nigerian political parties, at the beginning of the election campaign, had definitely formulated policies for the nation to follow in world affairs” (on page 15).
the author Claude Phillips jr who died at the age of 94 in mount Dora and passed away in the month of nov, 9th at is home with his family at his side. He was a retired US navy captain who served in the World War II as a fighter pilot flying off of seven aircraft carriers in the Pacific Ocean.
