Interviewing an International Student

From different countries around the world, as an international student who interview another international student, it is challenging. Due to the different culture or lifestyle, the difficult thing during an interview will be to make an approach with the person. However, this experience can be beneficial in the way that the interviewer will be no longer nervous about doing any interview with a person from another country.

Even if before the interview, the interviewer can challenge a hard time to find someone who will accept to be interviewed. Most of time, the first fifteen minutes are essential to help you either the interviewer or the interviewer to know each other.Culture has to be consider because it's differ from country. For example, when you talking to someone in U.S.,eye contact are really improtant while most in some Africa countries like Burundi where i am from;it can seem as a sign of disrespectful when you talk to someone older than you. Body-language can be facing when trying to approach each other. As the pression is not anymore there, the interviewer should begin by including his own question. Therefore, the accent of English has a big role during the interview which make uncomfortable each of them.

Although the english can be a problem, that is the one of the hard challenge and the best benefit for the interview. In other words, it will improve the way of pronouncing the english for either the interviewer or the interviewee. As long as the interview will continue in good term, it shows how the interviewer get used to the interview.Usually,as an international student when interviewing another person;i feel after the first interview there is anything nervous the interviewer will be afraid about of.After the interview, the interviewer has more confidence to main another interview without fear.

For an interview, it is really undeniable to know each other with the person you are interviewing, so that they can know the point of view of each one. This will be helpful to know what can be offensive for the interviewee, and doing a good interview.
